I make playfully patterned functional pottery inspired by my love of collage, texture, and pattern play. Growing up, I spent time playing with clay in my aunt and uncle’s pottery studio, and in college, I fell in love with throwing on the wheel. After graduating with a degree in fiber and book arts from MICA, I searched for a studio practice and was thrilled to reconnect with clay and find community at the Potters Guild of Baltimore. I started taking classes in 2016 and became a member shortly after.
I love how handmade objects bring joy to everyday rituals and become a special part of people’s homes. My passion for plants, flowers, and food also influences my work—I find it exciting to create vessels for the things that nourish us. When I’m not in the studio, I’m often in my garden, sewing, hiking and making meals to share with friends.
