ANDY TOWNSHEND

I studied archaeology and ancient ceramics in while attending UW Madison in the early 2000s where I discovered the timeless beauty of ancient ceramic techniques and designs. I also took several pottery classes and became enamored with the art form. A decade passed before I rekindled this passion by taking classes at the Potters Guild of Baltimore, where I refined my skills and explored new creative directions.

Currently, as a father of two toddlers, my studio time is limited, but the experiences of fatherhood enrich my work. I look forward to introducing my kids to my craft when they’re ready!
