Hi - I'm Danielle and making things makes me happy!

As an engineer, my technical side has always craved a creative outlet. I played with clay in high school and in college, so when I moved to Baltimore, I quickly sought out a place to create, and the Potter's Guild was the perfect fit!

Working with clay allows me to still be a little technical, but it is also challenging and meditative. The sensation of the material in my hands, the gratification of turning an idea into something functional, and even the frustration of failure with the hope of trying again has always filled my cup.

I tend to create simple designs with thoughtful use of color and texture. My work tends to lean towards functional housewares, as I imagine their users incorporating them into the rituals and habits of life or for special occasions. I hope the joy I get from making them translates to the joy of using them!
